Gas prices are up across the country, at their highest point since April.

The national average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas on Tuesday is $3.636, up from $3.596 on Monday and $3.563 a week ago, according to AAA.

Maryland
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Maryland is $3.643, higher than the national average and up from $3.593 on Monday. One week ago, it was significantly lower at $3.549.
Virginia
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Virginia is $3.455, below the national average. On Monday, the price was $3.427, and this time last week, it was $3.415.
Washington, D.C.
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in Washington, D.C., is $3.799, up from $3.787 on Monday. Last week, it was $3.692.
California
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in California is significantly above the national average at $4.897. On Monday, the price was $4.891, and one week ago, it was $4.905.
New York
In New York, the average price is $3.719, up from $3.701 on Monday. Last week, it was $3.675.

The average price in Texas is up but still sits well below the national average at $3.314. On Monday, the price was $3.256, and last week, it was $3.168.
